Looking at my activity over the past few years i have to admit i'm a bit embarrassed as to how lazy i've gotten in participating in this community, even on a very minor scale.

deviant is still my homepage and i do come here everyday, i skulk around and keep up to date on my favourite artists & sometimes, very rarely, comment on them.  my journal entries last year were a whooping two, compared to other years of one every other month, on average, and my submissions are at an all time low of only one last year.

i can blame some of it on last year being a pretty tough year.  i experienced my first death close to my heart.  that sucked a lot outta me and especially my love.  i was worried for a long time that he would never quite be the same.

i also lived in what we lovingly called 'the dungeon'.  a gorgeous basement suite with tons of space, hardwood floors, fireplace, cheap rent, but no windows and far far away from our friends or anything convenient.  the motivation in either of us to get even small things accomplished dwindled even more.

but things are looking up this year.  we've moved to a much better, if smaller place and we've both noticed our moods and drive start on the up.  we made it through the holidays, which we weren't sure were going to go well, with the recent passing of his mother.  i can see him like his normal self again, with a  few scars, but for the most part, the man i love immensely.  

there are talks of trips to go on and one big one that's almost set in stone, Viva Las Vegas-rockabilly weekend, easter weekend.  my best friend who lives in another province than me will be meeting us down there and she'll be getting hitched!

mean-things is also making headway.  i have an etsy store now and i hope to be selling my wares at Queen Bee Luxuries in Vancouver, very soon.  now that i live in a place with some natural light, i plan on taking many more photos, though most of them will be featuring items i have for sale.  

so, this year is a clean slate and i plan on marking it up.
